Jim Geist

Jim Geist joined Nelson Connects in 2005 to manage the company’s North Bay Finance & Accounting practice. After multiple leadership promotions, he now serves as Senior Vice President overseeing Nelson Connects’ corporate-wide Finance & Accounting Division.

Jim’s over 25-year career in the employment services industry includes placement, retained executive search, leadership, and employee training and development. Focused on providing top-tier service to every client and candidate, Jim serves as an expert adviser to businesses across multiple industries. Under his leadership, his teams have placed thousands of people in organizations across California, providing them with employment opportunities that advance their careers and professional growth.  

Jim was recently appointed as a board member for the North Bay Leadership Council, and has been a regular contributor to KSRO Radio, Sonoma State University, Santa Rosa Junior College, and the North Bay Business Journal on job market and employment trends. Jim graduated with honors from Sonoma State University with a degree in Psychology, is a member of Nelson’s Chairman’s Club, and has won multiple awards for innovation and leadership.
